Dowsing The Aura

Dowsing The Aura

One of the neat ways you can use dowsing is to explore the aura.

In case you're not entirely sure of what I'm referring to, then think of the aura as the invisible, ever-changing energetic body which surrounds you and which, to some people, is visible. It is where your physical body and the energy of the universe meet.

Dowsing the aura can be achieved in a few different ways, depending on what it is you have in mind.

First, and simplest, is finding out far your aura actually reaches. This is easier to do with two people, but it is perfectly possible to do it by yourself. I'll describe it for two people first and then show how you can do yourself.

The person whose aura is being measured sits or stands in a place with some space around them. The dowser then, when in the dowsing state, asks to see the nearest boundary layer of the aura in front of them. The reason for this is that, to begin with, you have no idea whether you are standing within the aura of not, and, as an aura has several layers, it is easiest to focus on the one in front of you. With your tool or however you choose to dowse, move slowly forward until you get a reaction. Mark that point on the ground.

Now the fun part!

Ask the person to think something sad. Repeat the process starting from the same point as before. Mark the point where the reaction occurred. There is probably going to be a difference in the location of the two marks.

Now ask the person to think happy thoughts and repeat the process. The mark this time will probably again be in a different location. I'm not going to tell much more than that. It's more fun for you to find out when you are dowsing the aura yourself.

What if you have nobody to do this for you? Don't worry! Stand in the middle of a room and ask the same question about the nearest boundary layer, but this time you're going to ask for the reaction when that layer meets the wall. So start walking slowly and mark the point on the ground where you got the reaction.

You can do exactly the same exercises as before, only this time you're using the wall as the reference point.

The second way of dowsing the aura is more complex and involves finding where there might be damage. You want a nice, clean, healthy aura, but everyday living can create holes and tears in it. The simplest way of examining the aura for this detail is to dowse over an outline of the human body and carefully check for damage by using a pointer to find where it might be.

If that sounds confusing, then think of it as map dowsing, Only the map this time is of you and the location is where the aura is not complete.

Dowse Your Entertainment

What Shall We Do Tonight?

Dowsing is perfect for the many small decisions you make daily that you can't rationally be sure about. One application we love is using dowsing when making choices about movies, books and other forms of entertainment.

  • Want to go to a movie, but aren't sure which you'd like best?
  • Standing in the library or cruising Amazon, are you wondering which book to get?
  • Want to do something fun this weekend, but can't make your mind up between a picnic and a play?

When you're stuck making ANY choice, dowsing extends your intelligence and helps you pick the perfect one.

Dowsing your entertainment? It's a simple process.

1. Be clear about your goals. Are you reading a book or going to a movie for mindless entertainment, or because you seek thought-provoking, high quality material? Do you mainly want to relax, or are you looking to feel uplifted or educated?

2. Sometimes you can't make a choice, because the choices are so similar. Dowse using a scale of 0 to 10 or +10 to -10 instead of just ‘yes' or ‘no'. (Not sure how? Search ‘scales' on our website for instructions.)

3. Get into a dowsing state and dowse.

4. Follow the answer you get.

5. Confirm your answer. Were your goals met?

6. Repeat.

Did you ever dowse your entertainment? Did it work out well for you? Or not? Share your stories in the comments section below

The 1984 Karate Kid: Another Movie for Dowsers

It's Not Always About Dowsing

The original (1984) version of the movie “The Karate Kid” is a wonderful movie for dowsers. No one dowses in the movie. But dowsing isn't just about technique. It's about mindset.

In The Karate Kid, a man who feels he has nothing much to live for discovers his passion again in teaching a boy karate. The teacher and the student both benefit from the interaction. We have found this to be true every time we teach a course.

But it's a movie for dowsers!

Using the link below, watch the movie and see how the boy's journey to mastery of karate is like your journey to master dowsing. Think about the obstacles you have faced, and apply the lessons in the movie to smooth your own journey and boost your enthusiasm.

Here's the link to watch the movie. I found I didn't have to give card details to get it to play. Some countries may not be able to use this link, but you can Google ‘1984 Karate Kid movie, watch free' and find a number of sites that offer it at no cost.

Among the many wonderful scenes in the movie, my favorite for those learning dowsing is when the boy is told to clean and wax all the cars in the lot, and by the end, he is ready to walk out. Watch the movie and find out how perseverence and practice lead to mastery in all things. That, and getting a great mentor!

Have you watched it? Did you like it? Can you see how it can relate to dowsing? Can you suggest another movie for dowsers? Let us know in the comments section below

Hollywood Gets It Right: Watch This Dowsing Movie!

We love a movie we stumbled on some years back. It's perfect for dowsers and spiritual seekers. It's called “Interstate 60”, and it's filled with imagery and situations that will resonate with you. Big hint: the 8-ball represents dowsing (or any type of intuitive method). We don't know of any other movie we'd call a dowsing movie.

Chris Cooper, Kurt Russell, Gary Oldman, Ann-Margret, Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd–the cast is amazing. It's off-beat. But then, most dowsers are off-beat, too.

You can watch it online for free using the link below. It's very supportive of people finding their passion and following it, no matter what. It encourages you to follow your heart, in spite of what others expect or want of you.

Is This a Dowsing Movie?

The word dowsing is never mentioned. But the 8 ball sure looks like a dowsing tool. And the hero certainly faces some challenges in finding his passion and following it. Watch the movie here:

(Hmmm, apparently there's an argument over whether this can be viewed or not. Click it anyway and see if it plays for you.)

Dowsing Plants To Get Them Growing Better!

Dowsing Plants? Why?

Dowsing plants, done well, will reveal a great deal about them which otherwise would be difficult or impossible to know. The video below will show you how.

Although we all know that plants are living things, you will discover a great more about them if you approach them using dowsing. Their energy will surprise you, as the video below will show you.

In a very real sense, dowsing plants is actually engaging in a form of communication with them. Yes, you really will be talking to your plants!

And, of course, once you start talking, you can discover a whole range of information which you never had access to before.

Find out what they want!

One of the easiest things to do is use dowsing to check their energy fields. This is not only fun, but incredibly helpful in your gardening efforts. You do really need to know if they are healthy, or if they are on the decline.

Plus, we all know that plants want food and water, but how much? That you can discover through dowsing. And let's not forget that, once you know how to ask good questions, you can go into much more detail. For example, you can find out if a plant is actually in the right place. Is it comfortable and happy being next to its neighbor or would it like to move?

Does it need more light? More nitrogen? More potassium? Which music does it prefer and for how long?

The questions can go on and on when dowsing plants, each one giving you more information to help you have the healthiest, happiest plants around!

Watch the brief video below to get you started.

Then be sure to add your comments below and share what you discovered about your favorite plant.

Dowsing Your Hand Chakras

Hand Chakras And Dowsing

Everyone has hands, so everyone has hand chakras. Although many people know about the seven major chakras running down your body, the ones in the palms of your hands are perhaps the easiest to explore with dowsing. Watch the video below to see how!

In case you're still not sure what we're talking about here, the hand chakras are those things that you are introduced to if you have ever done any healing or simply been in a group where you experimented with energy. You know the sort of thing. You rub your hands together and then get to feel something like a balloon between your hands, a sort of pressure there, although you can't see a thing.

And, because you can't see what's going on, it's ideal for using dowsing to explore it for you.

And the reason you rub your hands to begin with? That's to activate them. At least, activate them more than usual. After all, there's always energy flowing through you and out of your palms and your fingertips, so your chakras are always working. At least, they should be!

And if they aren't? How would tell, if you can't see them? Apart from any physical issues which would arise, the easiest way is to use a pendulum, as the video below shows.

After watching it, I think you'll agree that it's true to say that the hand chakras can be fun to play with.

Follow the video

So, briefly, using a pendulum to dowse the hand chakras can be both useful and entertaining. This video show you how.

Follow along with the video and see if you can get to open and close it and watch the pendulum as you do so. Like everything else, practice makes perfect, so if it's not working for you right away, don't worry! Keep at it.

If you check in on them regularly, you'll also get to see how they can change over time and with how your feeling. It's a fascinating thing to do.

Do let us know how you get on by posting your comment below.

Energy Streams From Your Finger Tips

Energy and your hands

We all take our hands very much for granted. They are amazingly complex mechanisms.

But they are also much more than that. They are also where the energy we are all part of can be discovered with the aid of a pendulum, and the video below will introduce you to some ideas you can follow.

Dowsing is a wonderful tool. It allows you to discover things that you cannot see. Things like the energy which flows through you all the time. It's amazing when you let your pendulum show you the energy pouring from your fingertips. This video takes you through the simple process of using a pendulum to check on the energy flowing from your fingertips.

Energy at your fingertips!

The fingertips are really good places for using a pendulum, because they are easy to access with a pendulum. The central part of the hand, the palm, is where most healers are familiar. It's where there is a big chakra which is central to most energetic healing. You can discover about how to use dowsing to explore the hand chakras.

The great thing about dowsing over the fingertips, though, is that you can see differences in the energy that can be due to past injuries or blockages. By following the process shown in the video, you can discover a great deal about yourself.

You don't have to do it every day, but checking up on how the energy is flowing through you is a useful thing to do. If something is not quite right further back up your arm, then it will usually show itself in a difference in how the energy comes out of the fingertips. Of course, you have to know how it is normally to know whether there is any difference!

Watch the video to see how to do it (it's really easy!) and then begin to experiment for yourself. Like so many other things, you get better at dowsing because you dowse. And the more you dowse, the better you get.

So, watch and then practice. And share your results in the comments section below.

Crystal dowsing can be revealing

Crystal Dowsing

Crystal dowsing is just one of the many ways the simple skill of dowsing can be used. Many people buy and use crystals in various way; either as decoration or as a healing modality.

However, crystals have many properties, and you can use dowsing to explore what is going on in far more detail than you would have thought possible. Discover more about them using simple dowsing techniques by watching the video below.

The uses of crystals

Crystals of all kinds have been used for healing, protection, meditation and spiritual enlightenment, among other things. Many people use them for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, they just look attractive and are good to have around. Other people use them deliberately in healing modalities.

Whatever your association with crystals, there is much which can be dowsed about them. Grab your pendulum and explore the energy of any crystal you have. They will all be a bit different.

For example, if you take this video as a starting point, you might find that certain types of crystals which you use for similar purposes might exhibit similar characteristics when you dowse over them. Or maybe not. You can find out.

Remember, of course, to always have a clear idea of what it is you want to dowse about. The dowsing question is hugely important, otherwise you will end up not knowing what it is you have discovered!

As the video shows, you can explore crystals in a variety of ways using a pendulum. It doesn't really matter the size of the crystal either, as even very small ones can be dowsed over if you use a pointer to be precise about which area you are interested in.

One suggestion for your own exploration would be to watch the video and just do what I did over one of your crystals and see what happens. Then, once you have the feel for it, you can begin to go off on your own.

Try with some precious or semi-precious stones and then compare them with something like an obsidian (for example) and see what, if any, the differences are.

Of course, we'd love to hear what you find, so please let us know by leaving a comment in the section below. Thanks!
